I was recently contacted by Jenna from Fotolia, who offered me a temporary subscription to Fotolia. Fotolia's like gettyimages and imageshack and all the other kinds of websites you're probably familiar with. They offer professional photographs or images for use on all kinds of occasions. Here are gorgeous and fun images:

(What a waste of polish! I rather have them on me!)

An adorable snorkelling beaver!

I downloaded these images because I think I'll make them into water decals! The bird cages would be so gorgeous on my nails!

Jenna is generously offering 3 readers a 14 day subscription to Fotolia, so please leave a comment below with your email (by 30 June, 12pm Singapore time) if you're interested in getting pictures like those above! If there are more than 3 comments, then I'll randomly pick 3 people to enjoy this offer!

Have a Tempura Tantrum!

This is OPI Have a Tempura Tantrum, a very lovely shade of beige-y nude, but which sucked to apply. What you see is 4 coats, and still a little streaky. I always thought OPI's pre-B3F polishes were supposedly nicer to apply, but this polish certain runs contrary to what we all think.

Photos were taken with my iphone, which explains the poor quality, but the first picture is very colour-accurate, so you can see what a gorgeous nude it is! I love colours like these, easy on the eye, very elegant, exactly the kind of colour you'd expect to see on a posh woman. It's a little beige, but as I wore it, I realized it had quite some pink in it too, I think it'd be quite flattering on everyone.

I'm interning now, with no work to do, and very luckily I have my own office (corner office some more!), and I face the door, so no one can see my computer screen. Hence the frequent blogging, because I'm bored and have nothing to do. But soon I can't blog anymore because I'll have run out of things to post, I don't have much to post at the moment, as I'm not changing my polish often. I'm just having the urge now to paint my nails a really bright colour, something bright purple or pink, and with some outrageous stamping on it, or something really dark, like this awesome dark green polish I bought from Etude house but haven't worn yet. I change my polish according to my moods, usually I try to use the untrieds first. How do you pick what colour you wear?

Zoya Valerie

Zoya Valerie (I think, this may be Roxy, but I just can't remember the exact name right now).

Valerie is a beautiful deep purple-red, with this seemingly black base, so the purple really pops, and a little gold flash, as you can see in the picture below. Usually it just looks silvery and shiny, but the beauty is catching that gold flash when you look down at your nails. The black base really gives depth to the polish.

This is an absolutely gorgeous colour that would look perfect for an evening event, I would imagine. So pretty!

On another note, I've got these bumps on the side of my fourth toe, mainly because I've been doing ballroom dance a lot more lately, and when my feet get squeezed into a pointy shoe, these little bumps just start to develop. Are these bunions or what? It's just so gross, I can't even bear to look at my feet anymore. I wish I had nice slender feet.

Finger Paints Autumn Moonlight

I got this in a blog sale a while ago, I've always wanted a navy blue with a little shimmer in it, and a little midnight-y, if you know what I mean. It's my very first and so far, only Finger Paints. I love the bottle, and the handle is a little skinny, which makes it a little hard to maneuver, but I find the brush very similar to China Glaze's.

Anyway this is the beautiful gorgeous blue, I love how deep blue it is, it almost feels like I could look through it and have a little window to look into space. I would almost expect little shooting starts to come. Look!

It's just so beautiful.

I recently bought the giant bottle of seche vite and seche restore, and I absolutely love how seche vite dries the polish so so fast, but as you can see in the pictures above, causes shrinkage. I must remember to wrap my tips next time!

Essence Steel Me!

A magnetic polish I bought a while back. I used a bucky ball to magnetize the effect here, because I saw another blogger try it and it looked awesome. I can't remember which blog it is, but this idea is definitely not my own.

As you can see, the design created is wavy, sometimes with vertical lines, sometimes with horizontal lines. It's pretty cool!

This one really looks like snake skin!

The designs are sometimes cool, and they are all awesome one coaters, but somehow I'm just not feeling this whole magnetic thing. It's just not my thing, I guess. I don't really like the hassle of using a magnet. In fact, the bucky ball's magnetism was so strong that sometimes the nail polish would be so attracted to it, it'd lift off the nail and get some polish on the bucky balls. Frankly annoying, since the surface of the nail wouldn't be smooth anymore. I don't really like my Essence magnetics, also because of the colours. Gunmetal greys and coppers and bronzes are occasionally elegant, but really not my thing, I think I prefer konadding more! But magnetic polish is fun to play with, I've already decided to swap away my magnetics, and one day, maybe, if there's a pink magnetic polish I can get my hands on, I would keep it and use it!

Anyway, just to update all of you, I've been interning this past few weeks, and will be in the future weeks, so I haven't been able to wear all my nice polishes. I've been sticking to mainly nude colours, and in my current workplace, no one's said anything, so I will just continue to wear nudes. I will be going somewhere else to intern soon, so whether I can wear polish depends on how strict it is.

My camera has also recently been taken by my sister, so I've been using my iphone to take these photos, therefore, the poorer quality. I know it's not the best, but still somewhat decent, right? Right? Haha okay never mind. I'll be taking more shots with my camera soon. I can't wait for the weekend! I want to wear blue/green polish! Driving me nuts wearing nudes all the time! Don't get me wrong, I love nudes, and light pinks, and all that, but it's months non-stop of wearing it! AHHH going mad. Need. Colour. In. Life. Okay ladies, have a good day ahead!

OPI Teenage Dream with fake OPI on top!

This is OPI Teenage Dream:

Isn't it pretty? Now I see why people love it so much! I just get annoyed with glitter removal though. But since I already had so much glitter on top, I decided to add more! I bought some fake OPIs in China, which I posted about earlier. This is the beautiful pink glitter one, with rather similar glitter to Teenage Dream, but with iridescent round pieces in it and pink star glitter.

Spammage of pictures begins now!

Now in sunlight to show the beautiful bling!

I love glitter! Hate the removal, but sometimes, like now, it's just absolutely worth it!

Pretty Heels!

Hi everyone! I haven't been updating much lately because ever since I came back from China, I've been interning, and it's a very conservative firm, so I have been playing it safe by not wearing polish at all, so there have been no photos since I post my manicures largely at the same time that I'm wearing them and there's no secret store of photos that I have for you.

Anyway since I've ended work at the firm already, here's my latest and current mani! It's China Glaze Mom's Chiffon, stamped with konad special black polish using the stilettos image from the new Bundle Monster plates!

On my left hand, I had stamped with WnW Black Creme, but the images turned out very faint (as seen below) and not as complete, so I switched to Konad black on my right hand.

You can see that the quality of stamping is very different, I think one must be aware that when stamping with images which are not thin lines, a more opaque polish would be preferable for the best quality.

Anyway I love this manicure, it's so pretty and girly! I wanted to do this last weekend, but I was so tired that I couldn't stay awake long enough to stamp it, and I figured I'd wait till my internship was over so I could do this mani and keep it on for at least a few days. I wish BM made similar full nail images, with handbags and dresses and jewellery etc., it would be awesome like that!
